Bubok Falls is a multi-level cascade falls series that is located on a tributary stream that joins to the long & powerful Sg Raia/Raya river. This river flows down from the peaks of Cameron Highland, a popular tourist destination where hundreds of travelers drive up and down via a curvy mountain pass without knowing that there are countless beautiful waterfalls in the region. Bubok Falls & Ulu Raia Falls are one such example that does not require a tough hike. This waterfall is however NOT suitable for beginners to attempt without guidance due to the unmarked & raw nature of the trail. Visitors should also be aware of weather patterns for the day before starting the hike as the region is known for heavy downpours.

Head to Ipoh as the nearest landmark town. The trailhead is near the state border between Perak & Pahang. It is accessible via Simpang Pulai from the west or via Blue Valley from the east. Visitors can head to a tourist attraction that replicates a village from the popular film "The Lord of the Rings". There are parking spaces (here) where visitors can park. Ensure to park responsibly to not be an inconvenience to others. Proceed by foot from here on out.

Walk back out to the main road. Down the street near the tourist attraction is a bridge pass.(Image 1.) There is a small trail on the left side of the bridge where visitors can follow a visible footpath. Follow the trail for roughly 300m before splitting off to get down to the river. The junction down to the river is not obvious and may require bushwhacking. Ulu Raia Falls will be in sight not far off after a short river trek, while just nearby on the left tributary is Bubok Falls 1.
To reach the rest of the waterfall levels upriver is not an easy task. Only hikers who are physically prepared and experienced in river trekking should attempt this. The river trek is often trekking over slippery rock surfaces. On the left side of Bubok Falls 1 is a smaller side tributary fall, scale over this waterfall to reach Bubok Falls 2.
To exit, use the same entry trail.

Exploration Notes : The river upstream has been explored where the notable falls have been documented below with its respective position. There is a faint hill trail on the left of the stream from the entrance main trail till Bubok Falls 5 but it does not have clear paths down to the intermediate falls. It is possible to river trek all the way but there is a steep and tricky canyon landscape river cascade directly above Bubok Falls 2.(Image 2.) Only experienced hikers should attempt the hike upstream.

Finally the last fall, Bubok Falls 5. There may be more levels upstream but the landscape will pose quite a challenge. Also this particular tributary stream does suffer from a high amount of farming garbage. These irresponsibly thrown waste can be spotted along the river.
