Waterfalls for the whole family

Batu Berangkai Waterfalls

Ever pass by a town and notice a signboard for a popular Waterfall spots?

There were many before! Most purportly waterfalls would end up as a picnic area with the waterfall almost unrecognizable. Or the waterfall was just too small for us to consider as worthwhile recording. Batu Berangkai turns out to be quite a surprise!

At Kampar we passed a sign board of a waterfall! We knew of a Sungei Salu slides further down the road near the junction to Malim Nawar, but not this one?

From the junction which is next to the Bomba, we turned in. We drove past some housing flats and into a narrow paved road. While the sign on the main road showed 1.5 kilometer, we can vouch that it exceeded the distance estimated.

This narrow road slipped through a resettled "Orang Asli" village. Here we stopped to photograph their houses while Joyce’s eyes were boggling at bunches of Durians fruits that were ready for picks.

After leaving the inhabited area, also at the end of the navigable road, by the way was weaving uphill, there were the waterfalls on the right.

The upper part is made up of 3 gentle cascades while the lower portion is the main waterfall.

This waterfall was again another 2 cascade falls gradually into a large beautiful pool.

This is the waterfalls, a 2 steps cascading drop.

To guess the size of the waterfall and area - Spot our models within the picture for comparison!

The surrounding is a drastic change from the gigantic falls of Lata Kinjang some kilometers away. The good point about this place is the quality of water. It is absolutely clean and clear.

This greenish blue pool proves it. The silhouette of the underwater rocks can be seen!

If you have some time to kill in Kampar, this is one site worth checking out
