Tesong Falls is a series of multi-level cascade falls described in the past by prior explorers. (Source : here) As there were only vague description to the waterfalls, in 2015 WoM seniors Jan, Siang Hui, Nick & Rani visited Sg Klah and attempted to document the waterfall. They managed to find Lata Enggang but could not locate Lata Tujoh which is located about 1hr+ further upriver. Between Lata Enggang and Tujoh are also several small to mid sized waterfalls that have not been given names but is well worth a visit.
This waterfall is NOT suitable for beginners due to the long and at times vague jungle trail that requires good fitness to reach. In addition, visitors have to apply from Lembaga Air Perak (Zon Selatan) access permission as the trailhead will begin from the water processing plant.

Lata Tujoh Falls

Head to Sungkai town as the nearest landmark. Near SMK Sungai Kruit there is a junction to turn into the inner regions.(Image 1.) There is also a hot spring resort operated by Felda inside called Felda Residence Hot Springs. Follow the main tarred road all the way in where it finally ends at a water processing plant (here). There are parking spaces along the road shoulder where visitors can park responsibly without obstructing passing traffic. Proceed by foot from here on out.

After passing the guard house, proceed to the end of the water processing plant where there is a trail going into the jungle. Follow this clear but narrow footpath trail going along the right side of the river. At a midway point there is a y-junction (Image 2.), take a right here to continue inwards. Deeper in, visitors will arrive at a small clearing where the vegetation is a little more sparse where there is another y-junction.(Image 3.) Visitors can proceed on the left to go down to Lata Enggang. Lata Enggang (image below) is a wide cascade that is about 1.5-2 stories tall with a moderately wide pool. Water volume can be rather strong depending on seasons, visitors should practice caution before diving into the pool carelessly.

To continue to Lata Tujoh, double back to the main junction (Image 3.) and take the right path inwards. Follow the trail where visitors will reach a stream clearing.(Image 4.) Proceed along the immediate side of the river (staying on the right) to link up to the continuation of the trail. Pay close attention to following the correct stream. There are 3 main tributary streams here where the confusion happens. If visitors followed the correct trail there will be a y-junction (Image 5.) where visitors can take the left trail down towards the riverside. The trail at this final section is quite challenging & technical where it passes several mid sized cascade falls. Some of the cascade falls are documented below. The final 50-70m of the trail is rather unconventional where visitors will have to hike up the right hill slope before Lata Tujoh is in sight. Lata Tujoh is an interesting segmented fall where its single stream source splits into 2 sections before cascading down a roughly 2.5 stories high rock surface. There is also a nice moderate sized pool here that is not very deep.
To return, use the same trail to exit.
