Jeransang Falls (also spelled as Jerangsang) is a recreational forest located roughly mid way between Damak and Benta town. The recreational forest is reasonably well maintained with properly tarred access road, large parking spaces, toilet facilities, shelters, benches & paved paths. An elevated walkway bridge is also an interesting example of the local councils effort to beautify the place. Unfortunately there are only mid-sized cascade falls downriver (like the example below) and additional hiking effort is required to reach a proper waterfall. The cascades downriver are suitable for beginners and families with children, extra guidance is advised for visitors who are more adventures that wish to visit the waterfall upriver.

Jeransang Cascades

Head to Kg Jeransang as the landmark town. The access road to the eco forest is signposted and visible from the main Damak - Benta road. The tarred access road is not wide enough for 2 vehicles to pass but it is reasonably well maintained. Follow it to the end point where the eco forest (here) is located. There are ample parking spaces here where visitors can park. (Image 1.)

Beside the signboard is a path to continue down to the stream where there is a small weir and a sandy pool. Visitors can walk across the weir where there are footpaths and more cascade levels upstream. To visit the waterfalls upriver, visitors can follow a small foot trail tracing along a water pipe. Following this river side trail, visitors will reach the 2 tier cascade fall. (Image 2.) Continue upriver for another short distance where a small water catchment is found and above it is the 2nd waterfall. (Image 3.) This waterfall is a tall one but sloped in shape and curved. It is formed by 2 different streams with a smaller tributary on the right having a waterfall of its own as well. (Image 4.) Scaling upriver beyond here is a lot harder and the jungle is more wild. Visitors are NOT recommended to attempt.
