Tarang Fall is a powerful high flow waterfall situated deep within remote jungles. It is a twin cascade fall with a sizeable pool and strong misty breeze requiring a rather long hike of almost 8km (one way). Fortunately, most of the trail is pretty straightforward using an established aboriginal track. There is no known name for this waterfall; the name is adopted from the discovery of words carved onto a fallen tree log by local aboriginal folk near the waterfall. This waterfall is NOT suitable for beginners due to its physically demanding track and numerous unmarked trails.
Tarang Fall
Head to Batu Malim town as the nearest landmark town. (here) From here, take the junction going into Jln Ulu Sungai. Follow the well maintained tarred road all the way into Pos Buntu. (here) There are 2 junctions here. On the left, visitors can head to Lata Lembik to camp for the night.
The trailhead to Tarang Falls starts from Lata Lembik. The tarred road along the stream leads deeper in to a concrete bridge. Right before the concrete bridge is a left junction (Image 1.), take this junction to head inwards. There is a forked junction shortly after, take a right here to cross a small stream and continue following the dual track trail heading south. It is a long trail with some elevation uphill climbs, keep following the main trail till arriving at a river side camp. The small camp (roughly 3.92676, 101.63968) here has some makeshift shelters and bamboo tables, possibly used by local aboriginals as a rest stop.
A steeper resam trail begins from this point out. No longer as wide and more bushy, often clouding the fact that there is a deep ditch due to erosion by water flow right beside the walking trail. Visitors need to be extra careful here. Close to the waterfall there is a small trail down the slope. Visitors need to scramble down to reach the river and river side trek the rest of the way.

Exploration Notes : According to local aboriginal folk that we had a conversation with, there are 2 waterfalls along this stream. It is unknown if the documented fall is the upper or the lower one.
