Repas Fall is a rather special waterfall formation. This segmented fall is not formed by 1 river source, but rather 2 streams which coincidentally happens to also be the confluence. The waterfall also features a sizeable deep pool suitable for swimming. The waterfall is situated behind valleys of durian plantations accessible thru semi-clear trails used by local aborigine folk. The name of the waterfall is coined by local explorers which documented it back in Oct 2019. This waterfall is NOT suitable for beginners as the trail is unmarked and wild deeper in. Visitors are also advised to engage a guide who is familiar with the region's landscape.

Head to Bentong town as the landmark. On google maps it seems like there is 2 access road in, from Kg Chamang or from Kuala Repas. But it would be a mistake trying to access the trail head from Kg Chamang side. At the end of the road a durian plantation is in the way with fenced up compound and a gate. Hence the only suitable way in is from Kuala Repas side. From Bentong town head north to SMK Kuala Repas. (here) Take the second exit at the roundabout that heads to the Repas Dam. This dual track road that is not tarred passes 2 dams and approaches a stream that is visible on the left. There is a clearing by the side of the path. Park here without obstructing passing vehicles. Proceed by foot from here on out.

On the left of the road is a shallow sandy stream with visible trails going further in. Cross this stream and head to a cemented path bridge going across the Sg Repas river. After passing the river, take the second right junction going upriver. This trail will lead to a makeshift bridge crossing the stream.(Image 1) A clear trail goes onward where a cascade with a pool is found at the end of it.(Image 2) A trail is visible on the opposite side of the stream but do not follow it. Stay on the semi-clear trail on the right side of the stream which ends at a number of orang asli huts. The huts build here are rather extensive with even a large hall but none were occupied during our visit.(Image 3)

Beyond the orang asli huts, the trail gets more vague. Bushwhacking thru the jungle and some river trekking may also be required before reaching the waterfall.

Exploration Notes :

There are possibly more waterfalls upriver. Survey from drone flight confirms this. It would take another trip to further explore possible falls upriver.
