Segalek Fall
Segalek Fall is a wide and moderately tall cascade fall. It has a healthy amount of water flow but still carries the scars of the devastating flood damage back in Dec 2021. Its riverbed is filled with sand silt and loose particles of fine sand is carried along with the water. This waterfall is NOT suitable for beginners as the semi-clear trail along the side of the river gets vague deeper in. Visitors are advised to engage a guide who is familiar with the region's landscape.
Head to Kg. Pantai as the landmark. It is accessible from the north via Kuala Klawang town or from the south via Seremban state capital. On the Jln Kuala Klawang - Seremban (Route 86) road, keep and eye out for the Kg Orang Asli Ngoi Ngoi junction. (Image 1.) The road to Kg Ngoi Ngoi is a small village tarred road but it is poorly maintained. Sections of it is gravel path but can still be passable by sedan cars. Procced along the road and before the village there is a right turn passing a bridge. Before the bridge there is an electrical substation.(Image 2.) Park along the road shoulder without obstructing passing traffic. Proceed by foot from here.
Exploration Notes : Upriver beyond the waterfall the river gets rather cluttered and bushy by the side river banks, making it hard to proceed.
