Parit Kumbang Falls
Parit Kumbang Falls is a series of 3 waterfalls formed between narrow rock cliff gaps. Situated on the same hiking trail as Chenuang Hill & Bkt Batu Kumbang, it would be an interesting fall during higher volume wet seasons. This waterfall is NOT suitable for beginners without guidance as the river trekking at the end can be dangerous and technical.
Head to Hulu Langat as the landmark. Follow the main road all the way in up to Bt. 20, Kg Padang junction.(Image 1) Proceed on the tarred road up to the end where the recreational forest and several riverside chalets are located.(here) There are plenty of parking spaces here. Park without obstructing passing traffic. On the weekends it might get quite crowded as it is a popular picnic area. Proceed by foot from this point and register at the entrance.
To proceed to the upper levels, visitors have to proceed carefully on the left side of the river. As very few hikers have passed this way, the trail have been reclaimed by the jungle and is almost non-existent. It is a slopped landscape with rocky cliffs. Between the slopes the second fall can be found.(Image 3) Another short hike upriver over a rock mountain section and Fall 3 will be visible. Small pools exist between levels and at the base of the waterfall.
