Gerachi Jaya Fall
Gerachi Jaya fall is a single horsetail type fall that cascades down from a tall boulder. There is no pool at its base. There are 2 smaller cascade falls downriver as well via the river trail. There is no known stream name, the name of the waterfall is adopted from the nearby aboriginal village of Gerachi Jaya situated upstream. This waterfall is NOT suitable for beginners as there is no clear trail. The trail is often bushy and will require bushwhacking plus river trekking. Visitors are advised to engage a guide for their own safety.
Head to KKB town as the landmark. From KKB-Fraser Hill (Route 55) take a side junction to Kg. Gerachi Jaya.(Image 1.) This road also leads to the Sg Selangor Dam spillway. Follow this tarred road and park by the road shoulder near this point (here) Ensure to park without obstructing passing traffic. Proceed by foot from here on out.
One of the peculiarity that visitors have to be aware of is that near the waterfall, the stream splits into 2 sections. The left section is a rocky cascade while the waterfall (main image) is found on the right section.
