Juang Falls
Juang Falls consist of 3 waterfalls. All the falls are punchbowl type waterfall that has a sizeable pool. The main fall 2 is a tiered fall made up of 4 waterfalls located close to each other and visible together at specific vantage point. A beautiful spectacle but be warned of possible flash floods occurrence as this is a long and powerful flow river.
Head to Lubuk Timah falls as the landmark. The access road is on the left side of the road heading back to Simpang Pulai. If coming from Simpang Pulai, u-turn at the imperium entrance junction. The access junction is unmarked.(Photo 1) The access road inside is a double track gravel road that is narrow and overgrown but passable by sedan cars. There is an abandoned Muslim cemetery on right along the path. Not far in, there will be a rocky gravel stream crossing. Visitors with sedan cars may have to park here at the open space clearing nearby. Pass another rocky stream crossing and follow the trail till arriving at another open space clearing on the right.(Photo 2) Vehicles can be parked here as well.
Photos of the falls below. The large and deep pools are great for a nice swim. Juang Fall 2.3 is a little harder to access. Visitors have to scale down a very steep and narrow cliff. Juang Fall 2.4 is similarly dangerous to attempt. The hill trail ends at Fall 3.
Exploration Notes : There is no more falls beyond fall 3. Only a low height river cascade is found. Also be careful of a strange metal plate at fall 2 that is partially submerged under the rocky riverbed. It is jagged edged and is a safety hazard. It looks like a very old & sturdy metal plate. We did not manage to remove it despite trying to dig it out.
