In this first part of the 2 sections waterfalls site, I have selected the destinations that are conducive for city folks to make a weekend escape. I thank you for your visit and hope that you too, can share some joy on the net. However, it is only fair to bring to your attention you that most pictures posted up are large. I tried to compromise, and large pictures are unsuitable for quick browsing! I have opt for this compromised size for the experiences to be better expressed, sacrificing practicality. Hope you will keep coming back and visit one waterfall at a time. My apologies if there had been any, for frustrating or disappointing you.

The Ministry of Tourism, assisted by the
Department of Drainage and Irrigation create a comprehensive
compilation of waterfalls found in Malaysia.
The book entitled "Waterfalls of Malaysia" is available in all major bookstores. Many of the information featured is extracts from the department archives. The official records detail the actual collection points of drinking water for the major towns. Of course, among them there are also waterfalls included. Though not part of the archives, but the known spots have since doubled up as popular picnic spots. Listing made by us is meant to describe how we feel about the various falls, that we had visited. We could not resist taking a first hand look at these waterfalls after being lured by the tempting photographs! We also confirm that the information given in the book is accurate and very informative. Get the book and make a checklist. ! |
