The recreation park of the Kedongdong river is located alongside the road from Batang Kali to Gohtong Jaya in the genting Highlands. It is quite basic, with some stalls, a popular place during the weekends for family picnics. The river water is clean and there are beautiful cascades.

Not many people know that there is also a nice waterfall upstream of the park, less that one hour trekking away. From the car park there are steps down to the river and you will find that a rather vague trail starts there. Follow this trail or the river bed. Huge boulders make the river trekking interesting but also sometimes difficult.
Difficult river trekking
The waterfall comes as a reward with a huge pool. Unspoiled, beautiful jungle environment. You can continue the trail to the top of the fall, where you will find a second, smaller tier.

There might be more waterfalls further upstream. We followed the river for another hour, but the trekking became more and more difficult. Maybe the local Orang Asli could help.
Waterfalls can be dangerous ! Always take care about your safety
This waterfall have been opened to public on 18 Jan 2014 with new signboard informing the public about the awareness of Lepstospirosis.
As of today, this waterfall has been closed till further notice due to suspected case of Lepstospirosis.
went there early of this year, after flash flood, the main pool no longer deep as before. Sand covered the the pool where you can even stand in the middle of the pool! :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJEjAD0pB2o
adding video link of the flash flood.
Like Jan said, waterfall can be dangerous.
ej18071981 <- the track to the waterfall is not too obvious maybe due to less people use it. But if you just try to not stray too far from the river you should find it. Just went there last week. Video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IY2DiCEhycI&feature=youtu.be

I just create an event go to this water fall for photo shooting and hiking there. We walk about 40 minute to reach the water fall, the sence are very nice and the water is very cool!!! We having lot of fun there and shoot lot of nice photo! It is a nice place to relax and pinic. ^O^
Stopped at the rekreasi park, and we get to see water fall earlier than we thought (thanks to the clouds) but any way we had a look around as some people commented it is difficult to locate the trail. What we found was from the upper part of the car park, we walked down to the river where there is a bridge. we crossed that bridge and followed a concrete path (half covered by the flora) till a very nice spot further up the river, where this path seems to end. Do we need to walk up the river/boulders from there up to the fall or is there a path or trail all the way way to the top?
Note on the cleanliness: overall apart from the stretch of river with pinic shelters near car park, going up from there was pretty unspoiled. ;-) and so nice.
Will definately ngo back there on a sunnier day to seek for the fall.
I was there on 011109 with my friends. We climb all the way up following the river as we could not find a road up.Did not reach the waterfalls cause everyone was tired but we manage to find a nice spot for a relaxing deep and picnic. The water was crystal clear and cold.Everyone enjoy, but suddenly the water turn brown. Luckily we notice earlier as it was flash flood.Everyone was save,no injury. We even manage to find a road back down.Nobody would have notice that there is a road cause the tree have fallen and covered it.I think there use to be alot ppl going to the waterfalls but now it was abandon. Here are some picture taken by us http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=116529&id=715434370
