Popular Waterfall in Hulu Langat

| To visit the Gabai Falls, first you have to go to Ulu Langat, a small village which can be reached from Cheras or Ampang. Next you follow the road to Kg Pangsun for about 7 km until Batu 18 where you turn right. After 6 km you will see the signboard for the Falls. Turn left and follow the road until the carpark. |

A nice cascade
From the carpark it is not far to the first cascade. This cascade is tall but not very steeply inclined. Visitors can find a nice place on the rocks and enjoy their bath with jacuzzi. |

|
A well maintained park

At several places shelters have been erected. |
Cemented steps lead to the upper regions of the falls |
Bridges make the crossing of the stream an easy job. In the background the second cascade is visible |
More cascades

The upper cascades have nice pools, inviting for a bath |
As is mostly the case, the upper falls are less crowded |
Some daredevils using the cascade as a slide. |

| It is possible to continue after the cascades, just following the stream. As a reward you will find another attractive waterfall! The water between the two rock faces is very deep, only suitable for good swimmers. |

The Sg Gabai waterfalls is really nice. I prefer it to the nearby Tekala Falls or Sungai Chongkak but it also suffers from the easy assess like the other two and gets really crowded during weekends.
Best to visit early morning on weekdays.

gabai was great. but some people has this low mentality of membasuh pinggan mangkuk, kasut sekolah and infact baju at the lower pool. macam dulu kala pulak. why can't they just do it at home. this is a recreational park, so enjoy the nature. but overall its fun in here.. try it during the sunny day coz u gonna get freezing in here :)

went to Gabai over the weekend..nice place...lovely cascading waterfall..
but again...i have to give it a '0'..because..of the amazing sight of rubbish left by those oh-so-ignorant visitors...it must be extremely difficult to learn how to clean up after all that trouble buying food and preparing it.
We had to walk allllll the way up to search for cleaner spot to relax in...
at the end of our visit,me and hubs decided to go on a cleaning spree by picking up rubbish left by these "mentally-challenged" folks...
some just turned away...some pretended to not look...some stared...some spoke quietly...some even asked if we could bring down their rubbish...of course..we told them off :)..
sad to say...i will not go here again. Sad to see such a nice place turn into a mini-dumpsite.
